LaLiga: Quinton Fortune Warns Flick Over Mourinho – ‘It’s Done, You’re Finished’

Former Manchester United player, Quinton Fortune has warned Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick about the challenges of Jose Mourinho in the next 2026-27 season.

The Portuguese coach is preparing for his first season in charge of Los Blancos, having been appointed by the club this summer.

Fortune caught up with Mourinho ahead of this year’s Barcelona-Real Madrid El Clasico matches.

He told Tribal Football: “Flick should be wary of the mind games of the Real Madrid coach. “He has to be careful not to be played by the mind games of Mourinho.

Hansi Flick is a calm character and I think he already knows what is coming now that José Mourinho is back at Real Madrid,” he said. If he allows Mourinho to get into his head it is finished. It’s done. If Mourinho finds a way in you’re finished.

Flick is a good manager, but Mourinho is one of the best in the world if it comes to psychological warfare. And he has enough talent inside his squad to be able to really challenge Barcelona on the pitch.

Mourinho will look to take the spotlight away from his players while trying to get under Barcelona’s skin, creating distractions and putting every bit of pressure on Flick and his side. “This will be a big test for them.”

Since taking charge at La Blaugrana in summer 2024, former Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has been generally successful. He has been especially brilliant in El Clásico, winning six of his seven encounters against Real Madrid across all competitions.

Mourinho will be challenged to wrest back supremacy from the Catalan giants, who have won LaLiga titles in the last two seasons.

He wants to get back in control of the rivalry with the quality of his players, something he did well more than a decade ago.
