Dolly Parton’s younger sister, Freida Parton, has moved to dispel reports of a family feud following the death of the legendary country singer.
Freida addressed the speculation in an Instagram post on Wednesday, September 23, saying the Parton/Owens family was not fighting over Dolly’s estate.
“I’ll say this and this only: there is no feud within our family,” she wrote.
Her comments came after a legal dispute involving Dolly’s nephew, Bryan Seaver, attracted public attention.
Seaver had previously worked as head of security for Dolly’s properties and was selected to announce her death. He was later removed from the security arrangement after Dolly’s death.
Dolly’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, then sought legal protection against Seaver. Court filings from the estate alleged that Seaver had made threatening statements.
Seaver has denied that his messages should be characterized as threats.
A Tennessee judge subsequently granted a temporary restraining order against Seaver and his private security company.
The dispute led to speculation that the situation could have created divisions within Dolly’s family.

Freida rejected that interpretation and specifically addressed concerns about her nephew.
“We all love Bryan, just as we all love each other,” she said.
She ended her statement by reaffirming her affection for the family.

As arrangements and estate-related matters continue to attract public interest, developments involving people connected to the singer have also received significant attention.
