2027 Elections: Bichi Mobilises Kano APC Lawmakers, 40 Candidates for Tinubu, Abba Yusuf

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, has held a strategic meeting with members of the Kano State House of Assembly and 40 All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates to coordinate efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting, which took place at Bichi’s office in Bichi Local Government Area on Sunday, November 1, focused on mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf.

The state lawmakers were led by the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore.

Bichi, who represents Bichi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said the gathering was intended to strengthen unity among party stakeholders and develop strategies to secure electoral victories for APC candidates across different levels of government.

In a statement issued on Monday, the federal lawmaker said discussions centred on coordinating campaign activities and building a united front ahead of the elections.

He expressed appreciation to Falgore and the other participants for attending the meeting, stressing that cooperation among party members would be crucial to achieving their political objectives.

Bichi said the meeting provided an opportunity for APC stakeholders to align their strategies and reinforce their commitment to the party’s electoral ambitions in Kano State and beyond.

He also emphasised the importance of collective action, noting that unity among lawmakers, candidates and other party leaders would strengthen the party’s preparations for the forthcoming polls.

“Unity is our strength, and together we will deliver victory, Insha Allah,” Bichi said.

The engagement comes as political parties and their supporters intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections, with Kano remaining a significant political battleground because of its large electorate and influence in national politics.

The APC is seeking to consolidate its position in the state while mobilising support for Tinubu’s second-term bid and Yusuf’s re-election campaign.
