BREAKING: Doris Ogala granted N30m bail over Pastor Chris Okafor cyberstalking

The Federal High Court in Lagos has granted Doris Ogala, the African Action Congress, AAC, governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Abia State, bail in the sum of N30 million over allegations of cyberstalking and other offences involving Pastor Chris Okafor.

Justice Akintayo Aluko gave the order on Friday, November 6, 2026, fixing the bail at N30 million.

The bail comes with two sureties who must provide the same amount. Ogala must also hand over her international passport to the registrar of the court.

The court also stopped the Nollywood actress from posting anything online that could put prosecution witnesses in danger of harassment, threats or intimidation while the case is still going on.

Justice Aluko said the conditions were meant to protect two things. One is Ogala’s right to freedom as stated in the constitution. The other is the safety of witnesses and making sure she comes to court for her trial.

The judge said he was worried about Ogala’s conduct in court on October 28, 2026, when she was said to have caused commotion in the courtroom, forcing the court to adjourn 10 cases.

“By her misconduct and conduct in the open court, when she disrupted proceedings and caused a series of adjournments without any justification on the 28th of October, 2026, the defendant has exposed herself as a person capable of fomenting trouble when she is outside the courtroom,” the judge said.
