Dangote Refinery has slashed the prices of its Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, otherwise known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil, AGO, or diesel, across the country.
Wednesday saw the refinery with a capacity of 700,000 barrels per day cut petrol price at its gantry to N1,165 per litre from N1,215 per litre, while diesel was reduced to N1,570 per litre from N1,650 per litre.
This means the mega refinery has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by N50 and N80 per litre respectively.
The recent price cut of petrol and diesel by Dangote Refinery is expected to further reduce retail pump prices across Nigeria, it was learnt.
Recall that the National President of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, PETROAN, Billy Gillis-Harry, said that the prices of petroleum products would further drop if the landing costs continued to fall.Previous report can be found here:
