The organisers of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality television show have officially unveiled the first set of housemates who will slug it out for the 11th edition of the popular reality series, with a grand prize of ₦160 million up for grabs.
The new season features a diverse mix of contestants with various professional backgrounds including streamers, entrepreneurs, models, pharmacists, chefs and tech professionals. Each housemate enters the competition with varying ambitions, personalities and strategies, setting the stage for what is sure to be another entertaining and highly competitive season.
From contestants who are in it to win to those who are happy to mingle and form alliances, the first batch of housemates has already started to stir excitement amongst fans who are eager to see how the competition will unfold.
Tram, a 24-year-old streamer from Lagos State, is leading the pack, and has stated that his sole objective is to win the ₦160 million grand prize. Unlike many previous contestants who have used romantic relationships to fuel their strategies, Tram insists he has no interest in love or distractions while he is in Biggie’s house. His biggest priority, he said, is to stay focused on the competition.
Temi Nkem, another contestant, is walking into the house with a lot of confidence and a well thought out strategy. She says at just 21 she wants to play the game her way and not be controlled by other housemates. According to the organisers of BBNaija, she’s a strong personality with a game plan to stick to her own rules in the house.
Kogi State-born visual storyteller and model Martins, 30, is transitioning from catwalks to reality television. He says he’s a people reader, and jokes that his hidden talent is “mind reading.” “I am looking forward to enjoying every moment in the house and being myself,” Martins says. Organisers also say he’s an open book who wears his heart on his sleeve and is ready to make meaningful connections with fellow contestants.

Mercedes, a 26-year-old massage therapist and concierge business owner, represents Delta State. She is going into the competition with confidence and feels that being a part of BBNaija is another opportunity to build on her achievements and not to start afresh in search of success. The show’s organizers said Mercedes is not entering the house because she’s desperate for money, but because she views the platform as another addition to her growing success.
Joining the house is Keivo, a 27-year-old web developer from Benue State. He describes himself as a versatile individual with confidence in his skills. He says he is open to finding love during the show but marriage is not on his mind right now. Outside his work life, Keivo is a gamer, painter and drawer, hobbies that he believes display his creative side.
“I am ready to enjoy every experience the BBNaija house offers,” says Chimsom Chuka, a 27 year old pharmacist from Anambra State. The organisers portray him as a calm, humorous patient man. He hopes viewers will get to see the real him as he takes on the trials, tasks and relationships of life in Biggie’s house.
Abi, a chef and model from Osun State, is the first to complete the batch and is confident that her humour and bubbly personality will make her a standout contestant this season. BBNaija organisers describe her as a “certified scene-stealer,” adding that she has no plans to play wallflower. Instead they say Abi is bringing energy, entertainment and enough charisma to keep both her fellow housemates and viewers thoroughly entertained.
The first batch of contestants has been revealed and the excitement is mounting for the full launch of BBNaija Season 11 with fans waiting in anticipation for the unveiling of more housemates and the commencement of the battle for the coveted ₦160 million prize.
