Ola Olukoyede, the commission’s head, announced the announcement while speaking on Channels Television.

He insisted that the Agency’s operational strategies adhere to international best practices.

“Look, I would break down a door in order to make an arrest. And you witness the NCA and the FBI doing that. What makes our legislation unique, then? Olukoyede stated.

The EFCC’s methods of operation have drawn harsh criticism, especially when it comes to apprehending alleged cybercriminals.

The EFCC is accused of being unprofessional by its detractors, who claim that comparable organizations in other countries utilize more sophisticated methods when making arrests.

Olukoyede, however, emphasized that whatever the EFCC conducts is for Nigeria’s interest and asked Nigerians to collaborate with the organization.

“It’s critical that we value and improve Nigeria’s institutions. It won’t be done for us by foreigners.

“The documents are there, and we have received requests to conduct operations with our foreign counterparts, the FBI, and the NCA. We have laws pertaining to professionalism. As an individual, I have traveled to numerous nations.

“I had the right to welcome the FBI Director into my office to recognize the work we perform here, once more, from America.

“So what about Nigerians if foreigners recognize what we do? Why are these institutions unable to endure? If we’ve been whining about corruption, remember that nobody is flawless.

“Nowhere in the world will you find a perfect institution. Despite our flaws, Nigerians ought to encourage us since what we do benefits Nigeria. It’s for this nation’s advancement,” he declared.

According to him, the legislation gives the agency the authority to “effect arrest without a warrant.” Under the terms of the law, the law and the badge I wear serve as my warrant to make an arrest at any time or day.
