Actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has rejected her reported inclusion in the Lagos State APC Campaign Council, insisting that she has chosen to remain outside politics.
The development followed the publication of a campaign council structure in which Abraham was listed under the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.
After seeing her name on the list, the actress issued a statement saying she was not a member of any campaign council and asked the public to disregard the reported inclusion.
She subsequently clarified on X that her decision was not a reaction to bullying or pressure from social media users.

According to Abraham, she discovered her name on the list despite having no prior knowledge of the reported appointment. She also said she had already stated that she was not interested in politics.
Her name appeared alongside entertainers including Jide Kosoko, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Akintola, Adebayo Salami, Saheed Balogun and Bukky Wright.
The Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate is headed by Toke Benson-Awoyinka, with Kosoko serving as Co-Director and Badmus as Deputy Director.
The Lagos APC campaign council was unveiled on Thursday ahead of its planned inauguration at the party’s secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
Although Abraham has publicly rejected the reported appointment, her name was still contained in the published campaign council document at the time of reporting.
The actress’s statements indicate that she does not consider herself a member of the campaign structure and intends to maintain her stated position of staying out of politics.
