Veteran Nollywood star Ngozi Nwosu has thanked her supporters for their prayers and assistance as she continues recovering from surgery complicated by unexpected challenges.
Her team announced the development in a social media statement accompanied by a video showing the actress on a hospital bed.
According to the statement, Nwosu underwent surgery more than three months ago. However, complications during recovery have made the healing process difficult, leaving her still short of her usual condition.
Despite the ongoing challenges, the actress reportedly wanted to speak directly to her supporters to appreciate their kindness and encouragement.

The update follows an earlier report by The Nation that Nwosu was dealing with an undisclosed ailment and required three surgeries estimated to cost N30 million.
The actress had reportedly explained that publicly disclosing her condition was a difficult step. However, she decided to seek help after reaching a point where she could no longer keep her situation private, appealing for urgent assistance with her treatment.
Although her team did not reveal further details about her current medical condition, it confirmed that her recovery is ongoing.
