Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Senate, has defended his choice to switch from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Akpabio argued that a progressive individual such as himself ought to come from a progressive household.
He claims that when the APC reached out to him, he realized that the PDP had never been the right party for him, therefore he left early and joined the progressives.
It was said that Akpabio delivered the stunning disclosure on Friday while addressing during the opening of access roads to renewed hope cities and estates in Karsana West District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
“A progressive-minded person like me should belong to a progressive family, so when APC came to me, I realized that was my group and that I was in the wrong party, called PDP,” he stated. I so left early and joined the Progressives.
