Osun 2026: APC Petitions EFCC, ICPC Over Alleged Vote Buying with State Funds

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State has petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, over alleged use of state resources for vote buying ahead of the 2026 governorship election.

The APC made the call in a statement by the Media Committee Chairman, Remi Omowaye on Wednesday.

It accused the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke of using public funds to woo voters.

The APC also alleged that the state government had embarked on a large-scale vote-buying scheme, asking residents to send their bank details to receive N20,000.

The party said the money was being put directly into the accounts of workers and residents.

It also said the move was politically motivated to gain an advantage before the election.

“It is very disheartening that the Osun State Government has officially commenced a wide scale vote buying scheme.

“The administration is systematically soliciting for the bank account details of citizens to receive a political inducement of N20,000,” APC said.
