Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo has sparked rumours of her marriage following a series of emotional posts on her Instagram Story.
It was reported that rumours began after fans noticed the couple unfollow each other on Instagram.
The speculations heightened after both Ogbodo and Bobby Maris shared separate cryptic messages on their social media pages.
In a new post on her page, Ogbodo questioned why it is acceptable for a man to become tired of a marriage but is frowned upon when a woman expresses the same feeling.
“I’m tired,” she said, and why is it wrong to say that?
The actress also hinted that being happy in a marriage is often about the connections a woman has in Nigeria. She asked why the decision to not remain married should be seen as a sin.
She also cautioned against being pushed beyond her limit, describing herself as someone who could only tolerate so much.
Ogbodo reflected on the eight years of the marriage and wondered if people expected her to stay for twenty years or until she died before her pain would be acknowledged.
She wrote: “For Person to Tire for Marriage now nah Taboo because nah Woman ! Does it have to be Man must taya? Tayad is Tayad for me! I am Tayad of the Princess who is to marry me. What’s the matter with that? To be happy As a Woman in Marriage nah by Connection in this Country!
“I no do again nah Sin? Make nobody push me to the wall I be rubber ooo! 8 years is not enough of my life yet? Maybe I should wait 20 years or maybe 6feet under before the Crown of thorns can fit me well! !”
