Chinaza Onuzo joins NECLive 2026 panel

Chinaza Onuzo, Nigerian filmmaker and entertainment executive, has been confirmed as a panellist at NECLive 2026, bringing experience in film production, streaming and creative leadership to conversations about the business and future of African entertainment.

Onuzo is the CEO of Inkblot Studios, a Nigerian production company whose films have grossed more than ₦2 billion at the domestic box office and screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Under his leadership, Inkblot became the first African production company to sign a global output deal with Amazon Prime Video.

He also serves as co-CEO of Kava TV, a global streaming platform for Nigerian and African storytelling launched in partnership with the Filmhouse Group. The platform reflects his involvement in developing distribution infrastructure for African content and expanding its reach to international audiences.

Beyond his executive roles, Onuzo has written and produced more than 30 film and television projects, directed five feature films and served as showrunner of Far From Home, Netflix’s first Nigerian Young Adult Original series.

His career spans different aspects of the entertainment value chain, from developing stories and producing films to building platforms that support the distribution of African content.
