The Deputy Spokesman of the 10th House of Representatives, Hon. Chief Dr. Bishop Philip Agbese, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development with the approval of an additional 20 solar light poles for Eke Ward following constructive feedback from community stakeholders.
Speaking on the latest intervention, Rep. Agbese disclosed thatthe decision came after a productive engagement with the Director of Affairs in Eke Ward, Hon. Ogbeyi Patrick, who acknowledged the achievements of the ongoing solar light project while identifying several households, chiefdoms, and public spaces that are yet to benefit.
According to the lawmaker, the feedback reflects the importance of community participation in governance and project implementation.
“In response, we have agreed to deploy an additional 20 solar poles to cover these priority areas in the very near future. By the grace of God, we will not only meet but exceed expectations,” Agbese stated.
He further revealed that the new solar light intervention will run concurrently with another development project scheduled to commence in Eke Ward in July, further demonstrating his administration’s commitment to delivering impactful projects across Enone Federal Constituency.
Rep. Agbese also highlighted the successful completion of similar solar light installations in Ojigo and Inkle/Okpaile Wards, where 28 additional solar poles were installed last weekend to improve security, economic activities, and nighttime visibility.
Expressing appreciation to the people for their continued support and cooperation, the federal lawmaker noted that the widespread acceptance of the solar light initiative is accelerating the urbanization and transformation of communities across Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo Local Government Areas.
He assured constituents that more developmental projects are underway as his office remains committed to improving the quality of life of the people through sustainable infrastructure and people-oriented governance.
