Sunday Dare, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Bola Tinubu has debunked claims by the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) presidential candidate, Donald Duke, that the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway will not extend beyond Lagos State, saying he just talks for talking sake or because of bad politics.
Duke had said the Nigerian government can’t afford the project, insisting that it is not going anywhere.
The Ex-Governor of Cross River State said the present administration should concentrate on investing in electricity and healthcare instead of coastal highway projects, stressing that the project was “unnecessary”.

In response to Duke’s comment, Dare said contrary to the comment, the project has got to Ogun State and work is ongoing at the Ondo and Akwa-Ibom states end.
Dare posted on X that the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway will not go beyond Lagos State, joining the chorus of those claiming that the highway would not go beyond Lagos State, former Governor Donald Duke, seeking to become President on the banner of an unviable political platform.
I think politics brings out a lot of people saying a lot of things that they don’t mean or believe. They just talk for talking’s sake or for bad politics. In fact, there is no point arguing against reality.
